Driven by a lifelong connection to visual art, my practice began in childhood drawing and learning the fundamentals of art before taking a necessary pause during college and graduate school.

It wasn't until I moved to Brooklyn in 2021 that I found my way back to painting. in a new environment, I found the space to start working on a much larger scale and remembered exactly why I started in the first place.

Heavily influenced by my upbringing in Louisiana, I learned early on to observe color and nature through an immersive lens. This became a foundational perspective that inevitably surfaces in my paintings. While I gravitate toward acrylics for their immediacy and speed, my practice is a continuous exploration of mixed media, rich textures, and the act of letting go of rigid outcomes to discover what emerges on the other side.
